The Ice Harvest

The Ice Harvest– Harold Ramis. I had not seen any Harold Ramis movies before- not Groundhog Day, nor Ghostbusters II not even Animal House. So I saw the Ice Harvest with no preconceptions. Starring John Cusack as a neurotic lawyer (Charlie) and Billy Bob Thornton as his partner (Vic) who together steal money to the tune of $2 Million on Christmas Eve, it shows how far different people will go to get hold of money- the love of money is the root of all evil after all. It is freaking hilarious in parts though- when Charlie has to take home a friend of his who is completely drunk, and when Charlie helps Vic dispose of a body :
“One night driving a Mercedes, and you’re already an asshole. “
I didn’t quite see the end of this film, but not because the movie was bad, and I would like to see it again some time I think.
